Sub for more: | According to the associated press, Pakistani army chief General Raheel Sharif declared Sunday, that any threat to Saudi Arabia will evoke a strong response from Islamabad.

The threat was made at a meeting with Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during a visit to Dhamial Army Airbase in Rawalpindi Pakistan.

Reports also indicate, that General Sharif stated, a “strong response,” would include quote, “Wiping Iran off the map.” If true, this would be Pakistan’s first overt nuclear threat to Iran.

It is estimated that Pakistan, possesses approximately 120 nuclear warheads that can be launched against Iran via land or air based delivery methods.

In early December Pakistan test fired a nuclear capable ballistic missile, dubbed the Shaheen Three. The surface to surface missile has a range of over 1700 miles, placing Iran well within reach of a nuclear strike by Pakistan.

The Crown Prince, and Army General, met after Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic ties with Iran following the firebombing of the Saudi Embassy in Tehran as payback for the execution of an outspoken Shiite cleric.
