Occupied: Headlines From Palestine

NABLUS (Ma’an) — Israeli authorities released a member of the Palestinian parliament on Thursday after two years of imprisonment without trial.

Yasser Mansour, 45, who is affiliated with Hamas, was detained by Israeli soldiers during a raid in Nablus in 2012.

He was transferred to administrative detention along with several other parliament members and held for two years without due process.

As of mid-September, 33 Palestinian MPs were being held in detention by Israel, 23 of whom had been arrested in a large-scale detention campaign in the West Bank following the kidnapping of three Israeli youths in June.
